Drawn for Three Blind Reviews and Paying Without Receipt

Just as the semester started, bad news: out of 9 students I supervise, 3 were selected for blind review. And the topics are all of the “can’t be said too clearly” type. Can a person even survive this?

The school wants us to publish ideological and political papers for our title evaluations. I busted my ass writing “Research on Internet-era College Student Ideological and Political Education,” published in the Journal of Jiamusi Education Institute. Paid 800 yuan for版面费. Standard domestic journal practice: pay up, get published. But this stupid journal wouldn’t issue an invoice. If I wanted one, they’d add 20% tax and issue it through some XX Culture Company. What nonsense. The版面费 probably got split among the editors or spent on booze. Why am I wading into this murky water…
