Olympic Ticket Application Successful

Today I went on a business trip to Changzhou to do training at Shinco. When I came back and opened my Gmail, I was surprised to find an email from the Beijing Olympic Ticketing Center. The Olympic tickets I applied for online long ago were successful! I got 4 tickets total — basketball and badminton. Basketball is the sport I love; badminton is what she loves. I know nothing about badminton. Basketball — haha — I’ll closely follow the Olympic basketball schedule, hoping the game I bought tickets for has the Dream Team or the Chinese team. That would be perfect.

I had given up hope on the application, but I won the lottery. Guess my RP is really good. The tickets probably have the potential to appreciate 10-fold. The only downside is that neither game is at the Bird’s Nest or Water Cube. But being able to watch the Olympics in Beijing in 2008 — that alone makes life complete.

Dear xxx,

Thank you for actively participating in the first phase of the Beijing 2008 Olympic ticket application. After conducting a lottery draw for all oversubscribed sessions, we are pleased to inform you that you have successfully applied for the following Olympic tickets. The corresponding ticket fees will be deducted from the account you provided. Please ensure that your account has sufficient balance or credit limit before September 10 to cover the ticket fees. Deduction will begin on that date. If we are unable to deduct your ticket fees before September 30, 2007, you will not be able to obtain the tickets ordered in the first phase.

Please keep your ticket account number safe. It is printed in the upper left corner of this letter. The ticket account number is necessary for ticket collection. Olympic ticket collection is expected in June 2008. You will need to provide your ticket account number, ID, and final confirmation letter for smooth collection. Please wait for further notice on specific collection details. If needed, you can obtain an invoice from your local tax authorities after collecting your tickets.

The second phase of Olympic ticket sales for domestic public will begin in October 2007, on a first-come-first-served real-time basis.
